About Project Cargo Network

Project Cargo Network (PCN) is an ISO 9001:2008 certified organisation established to provide a networking platform for the world’s top project cargo specialists, who want to increase their business by either referring one another or doing business directly with one another. PCN is a Founder Member of ELITE, the industry's only recognized grouping of quality independent freight forwarder networks.
Today, PCN has an international presence that extends to over 770 worldwide offices in 101 countries with 10,967 staff members handling over 101,000 shipments per month. With collective Annual Revenues of USD 2.830 Billion, PCN is now larger than many multi-national companies. To ensure that we recruit and promote the top specialists in our industry, PCN is only open to forwarders who have proven expertise and experience in handling project cargo/heavy lift shipments. Our Members handle the transportation of oversized and heavy items or shipments that consist of complex components. They offer project cargo management for engineering, procurement and construction companies servicing energy, mining, chemical, petrochemical, pipeline, infrastructure and other sectors. These highly specialist shipments require individual transport planning from origin to destination.
Projects come from numerous sectors including oil and gas, pulp and paper, automotive, construction, power and energy, as well as aid cargo.  Shipments include generators, turbines, reactors, boilers, towers, casting, heaters, presses, locomotives, boats, satellites, military personnel and equipment. In the offshore industry parts of oil rigs and production platforms are also moved; some of these are also disassembled at the end of an installation's working life.
Because most of our Member offices are managed by privately-owned companies, they can focus 100% on providing a personal service that is tailored to client’s needs. Our PCN Members can accommodate specific requests and make immediate decisions and recommendations on each individual project or shipment whilst belonging to a worldwide alliance of specialist partners and having instant access to the latest in today’s online networking technology.
Over 145 CEOs and Senior Managers from 65 countries gathered in November 2013 in Bangkok for Project Cargo Network's 3rd Annual Summit. Read more.

In my long working life (already 35 years in the transport world) I have been a Member of many networks but this is the very first time that I see my business growing so fast in a short period of time. The experience of all the companies in the specific field of 'project cargo' is definitely helping a lot: to be in contact with professionally skilled people dedicated to this section of the transport world makes everything easier. When you talk of 'project transport', you find people who speak the same terms and everything becomes easier.
