We are pleased to report new PCN members in Australia with Project Shipping Pty Ltd. The company were established in 1984 and were recommended for membership by a current PCN agent. Their offices are located in Sydney and as you may tell by the company name, they are expert specialists in project cargo and heavy lift. Project Shipping is run by 2 very capable Directors:

Captain Tor Berge
With over 45 years in the shipping industry both at sea and on shore, Tor is a master mariner with extensive experience including operating vessels, chartering, shipbroking, port captaincy and shipping agency.

Haakon Heggelund
With over 35 years in the shipping industry in Europe, USA and Australia, Haakon has extensive experience working as an operator of shipowners tonnage, chartered tonnage on a worldwide basis acting as a shipping consultant, broker, agent and supervisor.

Tor Berge states; "Project Shipping specialises in heavy lift shipments including mining machinery, plant machinery, rolling stock, pipes, locomotives, bulk sand parcels, bulk grain cargo, bagged coffee, cocoa & grains, marble blocks, sawn timber, lumber & logs as well as many other difficult breakbulk cargoes not suitable for the regular container lines.

We have vessels at our disposal at any time capable of lifting any type of cargo and offer 'turnkey' operations and full supervision from site-to-site including road transport, documentation, loading coordination, full port captaincy & supervision, stowing, lashing & securing and unloading."

Please click below for photos of the most recent shipment handled by Project Shipping from Jakarta in Indonesia to Newcastle, Australia. The cargo consisted of 2 boilers weighing 90tns each with dimensions of 11.68 x 5.00 x 4.47m and they were loaded by the ship's cranes in Jakarta on September 19th and were discharged in Newcastle on October 10th. All operations were successful and the cargo arrived in good order thanks to the experience and knowledge of Project Shipping.
