Scandinavian Express Move the Widest Load Ever Transported on Polish Roads
5th January 2017
PCN specialists in Poland, Scandinavian Express have yet again proved their capacity to move any sized cargo with the widest load ever transported on Polish roads.
A steel gangway for port loading measuring 10.38m wide was transported to the barge harbour in Police, West Pomeranian District. The load was transported on a 4-axle Goldhofer tele-trailer with 9 people engaged at all times. With the truck and trailer, the load was 28m long and 4m high and was transported during the night of 27th of December 2016.
Management Consultant for Oversize Loads at Scandinavian Express, Roman Jakubik says; "5 medium passenger cars driving next to each other on the local road? Yes, that is possible! We have proved it with this 10.38m wide load driving on local roads - the widest load ever officially transported in Poland! Most oversized loads are invisible for ordinary traffic as they take place in the middle of the night with organisers responsible for the safety of other traffic participants as well as for the preparation of each section of the route. This can be especially demanding when the transported load is wider than 2 traffic lanes, as it was in this particular example."
Congratulations from the PCN Head Office to the Oversize Loads Department at Scandinavian Express for this impressive transportation! Please click on the gallery below for photos of the cargo.
