3p Logistics & Noatum Complete Heavy Lift Milestone
25th June 2025

3p Logistics have cooperated with Noatum Project Cargo to successfully discharge a Siemens power transformer and accessories at the Port of Klaipeda, Lithuania.
This transformer weighed in at 103.5mtn, making it the heaviest single project cargo ever handled in the 20-year history of 3p Logistics Industrial Projects.
The unit arrived from China by sea, and marks the first stage of a delivery to the Vestas wind farm in Akmene.
"It’s been a long road. Our first touchpoint with the customer was in September 2023. That’s almost 2 years of planning, permits, road surveys, and coordination."
The transformer was unloaded using a 500-ton Liebherr crane and 3p Logistics also made technical conclusions on bridges across the route, before and after the trip, to ensure the safety of Lithuania's infrastructure.
"This benchmark is a signal to the market that 3PL Group is ready and able to take on the kind of projects that only a handful of companies worldwide can deliver."
Ilya Goncharov, Head of Industrial Projects at 3PL, gives huge kudos to his team and their partners for achieving such a milestone.
