3PL Successfully Deliver Oversized Cargo for Vestas in Denmark
21st February 2025

3p Logistics (3PL) have successfully began the transportation of oversized wind turbine components for Vestas in Denmark.
In January 2025, 3PL Industrial Projects secured a long-term contract to transport wind turbine parts - measuring approximately 6m in width - from Vietnam to Vestas’ facility in Lindø Munkebo, Denmark.
"This marks a strategic milestone for 3PL and the beginning of a regular logistics operation, further solidifying our position as a key player in industrial transportation."
This complex operation involves multiple logistical challenges, including road transportation from Aarhus Port, covering a distance of 170km, exclusively during night-time hours.
The first shipment has been successfully delivered. Due to the width of the cargo, each truck required an escort of three pilot cars, in compliance with Danish transportation regulations.
This operation is set to continue, with additional shipments scheduled to arrive in the spring of 2025.
Ilya Goncharov, Head of Industrial Projects at 3PL, is responsible for overseeing this critical transportation project. Reflecting on the success of the initial deliveries, Goncharov emphasised the importance of precision planning and execution in handling oversized cargo:
"This project demonstrates our ability to manage complex industrial logistics with efficiency and reliability. Coordinating international imports, road transportation, and regulatory compliance requires seamless teamwork, and I'm proud of our team’s dedication to delivering excellence for Vestas."
The successful execution of this project highlights 3PL's capability in handling large-scale industrial transportation. With additional shipments arriving in the spring, the company continues to strengthen its reputation as a trusted logistics partner for the renewable energy sector.
