A Memorable Celebration of Business, Friendship and Chinese Culture!
21st October 2026
18–20 October 2026 | Grand Hyatt Xi’an, China
Project Cargo Network was delighted to welcome over 135 CEOs and Senior Managers from 50 countries to the historic city of Xi’an, China, for our 2026 Annual Summit.
Held at the magnificent Grand Hyatt Xi’an, our three-day gathering brought together project and heavy lift forwarding professionals from across the world for a wonderful combination of productive business meetings, cultural experiences, new friendships and plenty of laughter. See Event Photos!
Xi’an, the ancient starting point of the Silk Road, provided a particularly fitting setting for our international network. Once a centre of global trade, the city welcomed a new generation of logistics professionals, all sharing the same ambition of building stronger relationships and developing business together.
An Unforgettable Visit to the Terracotta Army
Our Summit began on Sunday with a group excursion to the world-famous Terracotta Army, one of China’s most extraordinary historical treasures. Expectations were already high, but the experience managed to exceed them! Standing before thousands of life-sized warriors, each with their own individual features, was truly breathtaking. The excursion also provided a fantastic opportunity for Members to reconnect, and enjoy time together away from the meeting room.
Sharing such an incredible experience was a wonderful way to begin our time in China.
A Warm Welcome with Dinner and Live Music
On Sunday evening, delegates gathered for our official Welcome Dinner. The delicious food and live music created the perfect setting for everyone to catch up with old friends and introduce themselves to new Members.
As always, it was lovely to see how quickly conversations began flowing, with delegates from different countries enjoying the international friendships that make PCN so special.
Two Days of Productive Face-to-Face Meetings
Monday and Tuesday were dedicated to the heart of our Annual Summit: bringing Members together to strengthen relationships and develop new business opportunities. With dedicated one-to-one meeting slots across the two days, delegates enjoyed valuable time discussing ongoing projects, exploring potential collaborations, sharing market knowledge and identifying opportunities to support one another. In an industry where trust, reliability and personal relationships are essential, there really is no substitute for meeting face-to-face.
Our programme also included Member project case studies and we were particularly pleased to highlight our Mentorship Programme, encouraging experienced professionals to share their expertise with the next generation of project cargo specialists.
Ultimately, the true success of any PCN gathering is measured not simply by the number of meetings held, but by the relationships strengthened and the business opportunities that develop in the months and years that follow.
A Spectacular Tang Dynasty Evening – and a Party Bus!
Monday evening was certainly one to remember! After a productive day of meetings, delegates traveled together to enjoy our spectacular Auspicious Lotus Feast, an immersive dining experience inspired by the elegance and grandeur of China’s Tang Dynasty. With beautiful costumes, traditional music, captivating performances and an exquisite selection of Chinese dishes, the evening transported us back over a thousand years to experience the sights, sounds and flavors of ancient Chang’an. It was a fantastic cultural experience and a real highlight of our time in Xi’an. And for those who weren’t quite ready for the evening to end, the fun continued!
A special thank you goes to Leo and the team at Protranser International Logistics, who very generously arranged a party bus and private bar for delegates wishing to carry on enjoying the evening. It was a brilliant addition to the night, giving Members another opportunity to relax, and enjoy each other’s company outside the formal meeting programme.
These spontaneous moments of laughter and friendship are often the memories that stay with us long after our conferences have finished!
Celebrating Women Moving the World
Tuesday also saw our special Women Moving the World Lunch, bringing together female professionals from across our international network. The gathering provided a lovely opportunity to celebrate the growing number of women in our sector. With contributions from Rachel Crawford, Kira Seeley of WRL Shipping in Australia and Sandy Minh of Bee Logistics in Vietnam, the lunch encouraged open conversation and mutual support.
It was another reminder that PCN is about much more than business transactions. It is about people supporting and encouraging one another.
Celebrating Our Members and Their Achievements
Our Summit also provided an opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievements of Members across the PCN network. We were delighted to celebrate our Regional Award winners:
• Middle East & Africa: Ceekay Shipping Services LLC (UAE)
• Americas: SCACLI (Canada)
• Asia & Pacific: Protranser International Logistics Co. Ltd (China)
• Europe: Hemisphere Freight Services Ltd (UK)
A special congratulations also goes to Thunderbolt Global Logistics (USA), recognised as our International Member of the Year.
Congratulations also go to GP Cargo (Brazil), winners of our Mighty Moves Photo Competition! Their impressive entry captured the attention of fellow Members and secured the most votes, earning them a complimentary registration to our 2027 Annual Summit in Phuket, Thailand. Thank you to everyone who entered and voted, another fantastic showcase of the incredible projects our Members handle around the world!
We extend our warmest congratulations to all our winners and thank them for their continued contribution to the success and strength of our network.
A Wonderful Farewell Evening
After two busy and rewarding days of meetings, our Summit concluded on Tuesday evening with a relaxed Farewell Dinner at Goji Restaurant at the Xi’an Marriott Hotel High-Tech Zone. It was a lovely opportunity to spend a final evening together, reflect on the past few days and celebrate the friendships and business connections made throughout the event.
There is always something special about the final evening of a PCN Summit, when the formalities are behind us and everyone can simply enjoy being part of our global family.
Thank You for Making Xi’an Special
Organising an international gathering in China presented some additional challenges this year, particularly with visa restrictions preventing a number of Members from joining us. However, those who made the journey to Xi’an embraced the experience wholeheartedly, and we are delighted that our time together was filled with productive meetings, and genuine friendship. Our sincere thanks go to every delegate who traveled to China, contributed to the programme and helped create such a positive atmosphere!
Most importantly, we hope the conversations started in Xi’an will develop into successful projects, stronger partnerships and new business opportunities in the months ahead.
