Ceekay Shipping Services Report Breakbulk Cargo Handling

Ceekay Shipping Services are pleased to report some recently handled breakbulk cargo.
A total of 1,600ftn of cargo was moved by Ceekay from the UAE to the Upper Gulf via a geared breakbulk vessel.
Their services included: route survey, cargo survey, transport planning for the OOG cargo with police, escorts, and permissions, freight handling, customs clearance, port loading operations at Jebel Ali, and timely reporting to the customer.
The OOG cargo involved: 2 units measuring 13.5 x 4.8 x 5.1m / 43tn, 2 units at 11.5 x 4.1 x 4.2m / 25tn, and 2 units at 10.5 x 4.9 x 4.2m / 20tn.
The challenges faced included moving the over-dimensional cargo with police and escorts on Sharjah and Dubai roads and navigating the route to pass road bridges with a maximum height limitation of 5.5m.
