They have recently arranged for the safe and timely delivery of another 2 transformers (total weight of 815frt) to Doha, Qatar.

Nilesh Patel (Project Department) explains; "The shipment involved 2 x 160mva transformers weighing 95mt each and measuring 8.12 x 3.2 x 3.73m and 7.73 x 2.68 x 3.73m (photographed below). The entire load including accessories & oil drums were loaded under deck. The final destination was the 'Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion – Phase XI' for the Naeeja Super Sub-Station in Qatar.

The main challenge was to arrange a suitable vessel in Rijeka (Croatia) matching the technical requirements of the transformers for sea transportation. Another challenge was to complete the loading and discharging of the entire cargo on an urgent basis as delivery had to be made within 35 days. Due to our excellent loading, stowing, sea fastening and planning with all parties, the whole operation was completed successfully & promptly at both ends & delivered on time.
