PCN members in India, Express Global Logistics (EXG) are now 70 years old, first starting business in 1946. Last week, they successfully completed a complex project shipment totalling 17,290frt with 220 heavy lift pieces.

The project was for EXG's valued customer in the power sector and the cargo was loaded in 2 locations, Penglai in China and Phú My in Vietnam, then discharged in Newark, USA. Their scope of work involved arranging the breakbulk ocean freight from POL to POD as well as loading and cargo surveys.

The cargo consisted of 220 pieces of heavy lift modules and HP/LP/IP drums with 20 of the modules weighing 200mt each and 2 of the drums weighing 70mt. The EXG project team carried out thorough cargo studies and engaged the vessel ('MV Pacific Harmony') which was fully equipped with the proper lifting gear.

EXG showed their capabilities in meticulous planning, timely coordination with all parties, 24/7 contact and the management of the entire operation in both of the loading ports. Photographs of the operations are shown in the below thumbnail gallery.

The EXG team conclude; "Our company has always gone beyond the extra mile in providing expertise, machinery and transportation services for the smooth execution of heavy lift and project cargo both locally and overseas. EXG would like to express our gratitude to our esteemed customer, partners & vendors for the confidence shown in performing this critical job and for their excellent support to make this project a success."
