EZ Link and SCACLI Cooperate to Transport Machinery Plates
10th April 2025

PCN Members, EZ Link from Taiwan and SCALI in Canada have cooperated on a breakbulk shipment of OOG cargo.
The cargo consisted of two sets of machinery base plates each at 15.16 x 2.16 x 2.29m and 37,814kg. They were shipped from Taichung via breakbulk vessel to Houston before door delivery to the site in Canada.
To smoothly execute the ex-work service in Taiwan, EZ Link completed route surveys for the OOG cargo in advance, arranged specialised trucks for loading the 15m+ long cargo, and organised road permits.
For the vessel operation at ports, they also ensured careful attention to reinforcement of the 8 lifting points with additional steel angles where the wooden case is slung and added wooden beams to the bottom of the cargo structure for safe lifting using 4 basket hitches.
SCALI performed a creative tailor-made service by choosing to load the OOG cargo on a breakbulk vessel at the Port of Taichung to be discharged at the Port of Houston and then safely and swiftly deliver it to Canada.
The client was very pleased with the great cooperation and communication between SCALI Canada and EZ Link Taiwan with both companies providing a timely and reliable service as always.
A great example of another successful collaboration between PCN members!
