EZ Link Taiwan Handle RORO Shipment of Mobile Crane

EZ Link Taiwan have successfully completed another RORO project shipment, transporting a used 250tn all-terrain mobile crane together with 13 pieces of loose accessories from Singapore Port to Taichung Port.

- Main Body (Self-Propelled Cargo): Mobile Crane (16.56 × 3.00 × 4.00m / 85,000kg)
The accessories (13 loose components) included:
- 8 Counterweights Units: up to 10,000kg each
- 1 Set of Boom & Jib Sections: 8.14 × 1.60 × 1.20m / 1,240kg
- 3 Hooks: up to 1,800kg each
- 1 Ball Hook: 1.40 × 1.40 × 1.20m / 400kg
Upon arrival at Taichung Port, the EZ Link project team coordinated closely with all stakeholders to ensure a safe and efficient discharge operation. Separate handling procedures were implemented for the self-propelled crane and the 13 pieces of static cargo.
Key project arrangements included:
A qualified crane operator was specially arranged to drive the self-propelled mobile crane safely off the RORO vessel via the stern ramp and onto a low-bed ramp trailer.
A dedicated transportation plan was developed for the 13 static accessories. EZ Link arranged four separate trailers, with each load carefully planned according to its individual weight and dimensions to comply with local road transport regulations and axle load restrictions while ensuring a safe and efficient inland delivery.
Continuous on-site supervision and coordination was maintained throughout the discharge and inland transportation, ensuring safe delivery to the consignee's warehouse.
Through meticulous planning and close coordination among all stakeholders, the project was completed safely, smoothly and timely, demonstrating EZ Link Taiwan's expertise in RORO and heavy project logistics.
