Fortune International Begin Shipments for Fenix Project in Sicily
11th April 2025

Long-standing PCN members in Italy, Fortune International Transport are delivering two transformers for a solar power project in Sicily.
Managing Director, Paolo Federici comments; "The 245mw solar project will be one the largest solar plants to be built in Italy. The sites for the solar plant have been carefully selected and will be built on land of scarce agriculture value and high desertification risks. A thorough archaeological surveillance was conducted to ensure no relevant locations are affected. When it comes into operation, the plant will generate around 400gw hours a year."
The two transformers weigh 140tn each and are being shipped and delivered to the site under the control of the Fortune International Transport.
Established in 1991, Fortune International Transport offer a full range of project cargo and heavy lift services.
