Glaube Handle Cross-Border Transport of Steel Sheets & Coils

Glaube Logistics in Saudi Arabia are pleased to report a recent cross-border heavy cargo move from Jeddah to Jebel Ali.
The cargo consisted of 161 units of steel sheets and steel coils, with a total weight of 770tns, loaded onto flatbed trailers for the convoy.
A key challenge for this project was the manual, sheet-by-sheet loading of the steel cargo onto each flatbed trailer. To ensure safe and efficient loading, the Glaube Logistics team was present on ground throughout the entire process, closely supervising the load distribution to ensure each truck carried the appropriate quantity and remained within the permissible weight limits specified under road transport regulations.
Trailer arrangement presented a further challenge, with the current regional situation affecting regional equipment availability. As a result, trailers had to be sourced and arranged individually rather than as a single consolidated booking, requiring close coordination to keep the project on schedule.
