Khimji Ramdas Deliver for Green Ammonia Project in Oman
26th June 2025

Khimji Ramdas Projects & Logistics Group have demonstrated their expertise in handling critical and time-bound logistics operations to ensure the safe delivery of oversized capital goods for a pilot green hydrogen and ammonia facility in Duqm, Oman.
The cargo comprised of 14 packages with a single piece weighing 120mtn. The seamless operations handled by Khimji Ramdas included receiving the cargo under the vessel's hook, clearance, port handling, transport with the necessary permissions and escorts, and unloading and placement at the site of the upcoming facility.
The key to the project's success was the meticulous planning and execution that enabled the trailers to be positioned under-hook ahead of the vessel's arrival, facilitating a swift discharge and quicker vessel turnaround, thus providing a commercial edge to the client.
The oversized cargo was then moved to the port yard for customs inspection using specialised trailers, with transits scheduled during night time hours under police escort to ensure public safety and traffic compliance.
Khimji Ramdas coordinated closely with port and customs authorities to secure the necessary permissions for delivery to the client's facility at the Duqm Free Zone. A comprehensive route survey was also completed before the vessel's arrival, and detailed plans for transportation and cargo unloading were shared and implemented in coordination with all stakeholders.
Throughout the operations, Khimji Ramdas maintained strict adherence to the applicable HSE standards, the client's safety protocols, and their own safety practices.
This successful project again underlines the reputation of Khimji Ramdas as one of the most reliable logistics partner in Oman's growing renewable energy sector - delivering complex cargo movements with precision, safety, and customer satisfaction at the forefront.
