PCN Members Cooperate to Move Oversized Machinery & Construction Equipment

Anker Logistica & Carga are well placed in Colombia with offices in Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Cartagena, Buenaventura and Barranquilla. The company are pleased to report a recent project in cooperation with fellow PCN members, Prolinair in France.
Anker received the cargo consisting of 162,000kgs of oversized machinery and construction equipment in Cartagena, Colombia after the consignment had made the journey from Livorno in Italy. The logistics management required specialised crates and complex import documentation for the cargo (photographed in the below thumbnail gallery) which was split into:
- 2 x Break-Bulk Parts
- 1 x RoRo
- 4 x 40' Open-Top Containers
- 2 x 20' Open-Top Containers
The Anker Logistica & Carga project team handled all customs clearance and procedures, loading and unloading, movements in port, insurance of temporary import, pre-inspections, storage in free-zone and local transport from Cartagena to Santa Marta.
