Project Logistics Specialists, ScanMarine in Estonia & Lithuania

We are pleased to announce ScanMarine in Estonia and Lithuania. Located in the countries capitals, Tallinn and Vilnius, the company are specialised in project cargo and heavy lift and offer a full range of services by sea, road and rail.

Managing Director, Alari Harjak: "ScanMarine provides reliable and high-quality services. We are flexible and always willing to implement the services that our clients may require. We aim to not only be a service provider, but a reliable partner for the implementation of any new projects.

Project logistics is the core business of ScanMarine and we have extensive experience in organising the delivery of heavy and out-of-gauge shipments, offering optimum solutions by sea, rail and road. We believe PCN is a very strong network and we look forward to mutually developing business with members."

The latest project handled by ScanMarine is photographed in the gallery below. The cargo consisted of 2 conveyor systems transported door-to-door from Estonia to the Netherlands. Alari explains; "For this move, we used a total of 8 FTL with normal loads and 4 loads with out-of-gauge cargo. The cargo with normal trailers were moved by road directly to the final destination of Moerdijk in the Netherlands. Whilst the out-of-gauge cargo was moved as a multimodal transport, firstly moved to the Port of Paldiski in Estonia and loaded onto 4 MAFI trailers to be shipped to Antwerp where it was again loaded on trailers and continued onto Moerdijk."

The shipment was urgent and the exact arrival time was very important as the old conveyors were to be dismantled and the new equipment had to be there on time as the client could lose up to EUR €40,000 for every day of delays. However, ScanMarine handled the project smoothly and the job was performed on-time.
