Ramps Logistics Shortlisted for Breakbulk Award with MAWI
8th October 2025

Ramps Logistics continue to gain global recognition for Caribbean-built innovation as MAWI was shortlisted for a Breakbulk Award.
They were shortlisted for the 'Best Logistics Strategy for an Energy Project' at the 2025 Breakbulk Awards, marking the first time a technology created in the Caribbean has been recognised on this world stage.
This honour underscores Ramps Logistics' shift from traditional logistics to technology-driven solutions and highlights the Caribbean's growing influence in the future of global supply chains.
"Breakbulk is one of the world's largest and most prestigious gatherings for project cargo and logistics. Its awards have celebrated landmark projects with energy and industrial leaders and for MAWI to now stand alongside these names shows that Caribbean innovation is no longer on the sidelines, it is part of global conversations."
MAWI is the world's first AI-driven customs brokerage platform. It slashes clearance times from hours to minutes, streamlines compliance, and keeps vital cargo moving. Already in use by energy operators in Trinidad and Guyana, MAWI is cutting port congestion, reducing emissions, and ensuring equipment for both oil and renewables reaches its destinations faster.
"This recognition is more than a nomination. It is proof that AI is unlocking opportunities for the Caribbean to innovate, to expand beyond traditional boundaries, and to redefine how companies are built. MAWI demonstrates that technology born in the region can scale globally and shape the future of logistics."
At its debut earlier this year, MAWI won the 'Innovation & Technology Challenge' at the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference.
