TSL Australia are pleased to share a recent urgent shipment they handled of oversized timber arches from Auckland, New Zealand.
The largest oversized timber arches measured over 22m in length and 4m in width.
Allan Hou at TSL Australia explains; "The project was not without its challenges and production delays and last-minute packing list changes left our client struggling to secure a suitable vessel. With only one week until the loading deadline, we explored every available option and successfully secured a charter vessel with deck space, keeping the shipment on track.
However, securing the vessel was just the beginning. The cargo required strict on-wharf fumigation due to seasonal regulations, with limited daylight hours for loading. To add to the complexity, delayed truck arrivals meant fumigation had to be split over two days, requiring careful coordination to avoid disruptions. TSL worked closely with agents, fumigators, stevedores, and the vessel crew, adapting in real time to ensure the shipment was successfully loaded on schedule."
